Coen is a small town where we filled with Diesel & bought a few groceries. Twice the price of Sydney, but you’d expect that. There’s a pub in town to wash down the dust.

We camped for two days at The Bend, a free Council campground just outside Coen, on the river. It was a top camp spot with a toilet. There are some beautiful campsites alongside the Coen River with Melaleucas giving some needed shade. The frogs serenade the campers at night along with lovely chirping sounds. We camped there on the way up & on the way back from the Cape.
